Tuesday, March 18, 2003 ::: Disasters in Target Marketing My friend B-dub sent me this link to a hip new site only for girls who like to keep it real, covertly built by our Beef Lobbyist friends at the Cattlemen's Beef Board. It's a not-so-subtle attempt at making young girls think twice about the dangers of vegetarianism. My favorite part is the online poll that asks trendy questions like: What type of beef do you most like to eat with your friends? (40% of fun-loving pre-teen girls choose to eat steak with their friends. There's nothing like a fine cut of meat to sate a teenaged girl's carnivorous appetite). B-dub's favorite part is the stock-art image of the girl hangin' with the taco. Beef totally rules, ladies. You can't resist it.
