You know that JFK Assassination game that everyone has been bitching about? The one where you play the role of Oswald and try to take out the president from the book depository? People say it's exploitive and offensive. The game manufacturers say its purpose is to disprove conspiracy theories surrounding JFK's murder. Here is the money shot from the video game, so that you can decide for yourself: [FP] Is the chunk of brain absolutely necessary? ::: posted by dan at 9:51 PM :: [ link ] :: (9) comments

And the chuck of brain is completely rude. By Trekgeekscott, at 7:07 AM Completely tasteless... Is it wrong that I noticed that Jackie's hat and dress don't match? Like THAT would ever happen. By Will, at 8:41 AM I"m usually extremley tolerant of video game violence but that is just disgusting. So not cool. By lynne, at 9:01 AM I find that pic acceptable. If it was more realistic I might feel otherwise. I live in Dallas and I've been to that spot a few times and there are men that sell magazines with MUCH more graphic photos of Kennedy. By david, at 10:17 AM Is there no class left in this world/country?? People are so ignorant...it's maddening. But I also noticed that Jackie's hat didn't match the suit...not surprising b/c whomever is responsible for this game probably wears horrid clothing and despises people who look nice. By Kiddo78, at 12:27 PM I am curiously indifferent about this. By dan, at 12:42 PM I noticed the same thing as Will (PS super funny comment) and realized the game wasn't about historical accuracy or even educating children - it's just about blowing out someone's brains. Isn't that what all video games are about? Big deal. By , at 1:33 PM I saw a representative from the company that makes this game get interviewed by Matt Lauer this week on Today. Boy was he sweating! I agree...the problem is not really the game. The problem is people will buy the game...and let their kids play it without education and discernment. By pierre, at 11:00 PM This level of graphic violence is unnessary and definatly is the game makers responsibility. The game company pres. or CEO approves this stuff. Anything for money must be their motto. Sleezer's By , at 1:01 PM < Back to Blog |
