Tonight as I showered at the gym they piped in the most awkward and inappropriate song I could ever imagine being played in a men's locker room shower: It's Raining Men by the Weather Girls. A profound and palpable discomfort immediately permeated the steam, and suddenly everyone was done showering all at once. If you ever want to clear out a men's shower room faster than a fire drill, that is the way to do it. I didn't mind, though, because it meant that I could shower in peace and that I wouldn't have to share the soap dispenser. In honor of the occasion, I wanted to post the classic internet MP3 that is Arnold Schwarzenegger's Total Body Workout version of It's Raining Men, but just the thought of that awful repetitive rhythmic chant of "up, down, up, down, up, down" in his thick-tongued Austrian accent gives me a bit of a tummy ache. If you really must hear it, just for effect, then you can go here. ::: posted by dan at 9:42 PM :: [ link ] :: (9) comments ![]() ![]() ![]()

On a side note, I still regret not singing that infamous song for $600 at a Karoke bar for steve2. By brent, at 8:54 AM And in response to Brent's post...which gym is it? By , at 11:02 AM It's just a Bally's, and in spite of the music selection on this particular day, it's not all that gay at all. That soap dispenser image obviously isn't really from my gym. By dan, at 11:22 AM Oh well, at least the Hoff dispenser is wearing shorts... http://www.kontrabandcontent.co.uk/1/graphics/pics/soap_dispenser.jpg By , at 11:28 AM today my club was playing shake your booty. It was super fun watching everyone workout to it like a soundtrack. Then they played everybody wants to rule the world...that was funny too. By Stacy, at 2:10 PM Last time I was at the gym someone put on the what is love song from Night at the Roxbury on and no word of a lie - every person stopped dead and simulatiously started doing the head bobbing dance the Roxbury guys do. By , at 1:19 AM Classic. The other day when I was in the locker room they were pkaying "You're So Vain," which is almost as good. By Bewareoftheblog, at 10:53 PM < Back to Blog |
