Happy Xmas (War Ain't Over)

I'm kinda depressed that Xmas is actually over. For anyone interested, I got some real good gifts. Check it out:

Jealous?

As tradition dictates, I also bought a few gifts for myself this holiday season, including a new Nintendo Wii game system which shipped last week but hasn't arrived yet. I've been waiting very impatiently for what feels like an eternity and tracking the shipment online from city to city as it trudges ever-so-slowly yet frustratingly closer to its final destination. But now I hear that the entire post office might be shutting down for a day because dumb old Gerald Ford died. As if there's a single mailman out there who seriously gives a crap. I'll tell you whut, if I have to wait even one extra day to get my Wii in the mail on account of dumb dead old Gerald Ford, then I'm going to go postal, which would be the ultimate in irony.

Here's an Xmas gift I'm glad I got.
Here's another Xmas gift I'm glad I got.
Here's an Xmas gift I'm glad I didn't get from anybody.
Here's an Xmas gift that I really wish I would have gotten somebody. Anybody.
('Cept maybe my mom cuz it's NSFW!) [Thanks, Rebecca]

oh, man... the ghost of Jerry Ford Past is so gonna take a ghost-like strap to your head for that one...

Then again, the strap might be a problem...

If you need me you can find me diggin' up my old Power Glove to get that miBod thing going on...

I am very jealous of your vinyl copy of NKOTB! I am sure it cost a pretty penny. :)

By Blogger george86, at 9:04 AM

and the strangers with candy movie to boot!

By Blogger george86, at 9:06 AM

Wow - what grade are you in again? Whining because the post office might close to honor a president and that will delay your Nintendo shipment? I hate to say this Dan - grow up. No wonder you are depressed Christmas is over. It is apparently the season all about you. Did you do anything for someone else this holiday season - or ever for that matter? What a tool.

You know, if some old guy I really didn't know died and I got a day off of work for it, I don't think I would complain.

Those were some nice gifts. However, you seem excited about getting a New Kids on the Block LP. Now that is a gift that would make me barf.

Wii can be Wii friends when yours finally arrives. We have one and I loves it.

I want one of those music vibrators.

By Blogger Bewareoftheblog, at 10:10 AM

It looks like you had the kickassiest Christmas ever! Enjoy the Sedaris book, I know I did!

Maybe Santa should have gotten you a sense of humor for Christmas, anon. We love Dan for his irreverent humor (at least I do). He can poke fun at just about anything, and it might piss you off a little, yes, but it is still funny. So lay off, chill out, and stop taking yourself so seriously.

Hey Dan - long time reader first time post-er (was very excited to discover though that you're a local boy). Here's a good gift for next year if you unfortunately stumble upon someone in need of it:

Its a winner!!

Dan you should just buy yourself that ipod vibrator! It's ingenious, really & could come in handy some day, hehehe. You know you want it!

The NKOTB record & the breath capturing bottles are about as useful as the pet rock was way back in the day. Actually Donnie Wahlberg is a fairly decent actor now. I saw him a few years ago in an independant movie called "Diamond Men"(2000)with Robert Forster and it was well acted & directed. Check it out: www.imdb.com/title/tt0200427/

Holy Crap...New Kids...I wuv them

hi Dan,
also a long time reader. love your blog!
Ignore the post by anonymous @ 9:38AM. It sounds like he got a lump of coal for x-mas and immediately inserted it rectally. If your a tool then he's a whole machine shop. Adulthood is overrated.
Keep us posted on the Wii progress. I'm sure that it will inspire at least one, if not many, future blog posts.
Merry x-mas and happy new year!

I was going to order a Wii but I was afraid it would kill Jimmy Carter.

EVERY season is all about Dan, Anonymous. that's why we love him!

I'm super jealous of the NKOTB album! I've been inspired to add the tunes to my own iTunes library. I'm just a little unsure if the iBod would be able to handle Hanging Tough! or if I could for that matter *wink wink* Glad you had a good Christmas, Dan! until next year...

Danny, what did T-Bone get u for Xmas?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:16 PM

Tbone got me a way cool electronic picture frame that shows off all of my digital pics. I couldn't find a link to it anywhere otherwise I would have shown that off, too.

By Blogger dan, at 1:39 PM

If I had that vibrating ipod accessory, I'd play your Kickass Christmas song. On repeat.

I got the Sedaris book, too. My brother wrote in the front cover, "I was going to stand in line for two hours to have Any sign this and then I realized I could just sign it myself. Thanks for being my sister, roommate and a crafter of things." How's that for awwww.

By Blogger PrincessMax, at 12:36 AM

I am totally jealous.
I had that New Kids cassette once. Good times.

By Blogger Monkey, at 1:12 AM

That BreathCapture thing is scary!!!! I'm glad you didn't get that either!

Mikey
