Animated Friday (Dogs are Dumb Edition)!

I really do like dogs. But man are they dumb creatures. You can argue the contrary all you want, but I know better. It's probably a good thing, though, because I think the fact that they are so darned stupid is what makes them so darned cute:

OMG!! That poor dog. I hope he is OK, but it was funny. I've got three dogs & I would have to say that 2 out of 3 are pretty dumb. My chihuahua is very smart, while the min-pin & IG are just crazy stupid.

My dog is a Canaan Dog, there are only about 300 in the USA. She's impossible to train because she is so smart that if you ask her to repeat an action she will do it completely differently, assuming that the reason you are asking her to do it again is that she did it wrong the first time. If only she could speak so she could teach me how to do my MBA-economics homework.

Noelle, Canaan dogs are handsome. I've heard stories of their legendary smarts. But I've also heard horror stories about the amount of fur they shed. Is that true?

Am I dumb? I kind of assumed that the dog had dug a hole in the plant container, either to bury or look for a bone. However, the comments indicate that other people think he jumped.

Please tell me that your doggie is okay! My lab/golden mix jumped from a 13 foot bridge onto the street below last year and walked away just fine. (We hadn't even realized she was depressed!) Anyway, great stuff. the photo of the planter is priceless!

Dan, gotta tell you - I have a screen grab as the dog starts to 'jump'. Its front paws are towards the camera, not underneath the dog. It looks to me like it was being pushed or thrown out. You can see it in the clip.

Really hope that the dog's OK.

Ha! I would like to see anyone heave a 70 lb.dog out of the window of a moving car. No way! That dog jumped. You can see it push away from the bottom ledge of the window as he goes.

I am sure that dog was quite okay. I don't think the car was going that fast, although I will admit that I could be wrong about that. The one on the ground looked like it was just loping along. I am sure the one in the car decided it would be more fun to play with the one on the ground than sit there watching it, and decided it was worth the risk.

I think dogs are for the most part a lot smarter than we give them credit for. I have two dachshunds, and they seem to enjoy doing "dumb" things, just to get a rise out of me!

Dog in planter is adorable. Dog jumping out of moving car is hysterial. Dogs are morons. Mine "buries" her bone in the corner of the kitchen. yup, laminate flooring.

Remember my dog Simon? He'd have run in's with the walls and then there was the year the 8inch high ball of stoopid took out the christmas tree? Yep, totally dumb dog. In comparison to Parker, who scares himself to death, jumps and sniffs his but every time he barks...

The labrador landed ok, but the great dane tore the poor thing to shreds in the rest of the video...
just kiddin, i don't know more than the rest of you. But I have a dog, too. He actually does pretty smart things, like standing in his own piss puddles, stepping in other dogs shitpiles, and advanced trigonometry.
