YEAR
ONE
The Miller
Five apparently began as the Miller Three in 1981 at the St.
Al's Fun Fair. All it took was a tamborine, a guitar, and some
iron-on monograms for these two young ingenues with stars
in their eyes to begin the journey toward rock-n-roll
stardom, with their father leading the way.
From the left to right, Kristin, William and Colleen
a father and his two daughters performed a variety of
crowd-pleasing hits. It was like Destiny's Child, replete with
short-shorts and a paternal Svengali, only with twice
the style. No signs of young Scotty or Danny yet, and mother
Barbara remained on the sidelines, but it was still an auspicious
debut and only a precursor of the things to come.
